Question 1

How much does a kids party cost?

Accepted Answer

A 60 minute party costs from €180 to €250, depending on the package. Longer parties cost a little more, and every package on the home page shows the price for each length. Schools, creches and community events start from €230. Communion, confirmation and christening parties are €35 more than the package price. Other parties from 1 April to 31 July are €10 more (our busiest season). There is no travel charge within Dublin. Outside Dublin there is a small travel charge, which we confirm when we reply.

Question 2

How long is a party?

Accepted Answer

Most of our parties can be booked for 60, 90 or 120 minutes. The Face Painting and Animal Balloons package and the Schools, Creches and Community Events package can be booked for 60, 90 or 120 minutes, or 3 hours. The Disco Party and the K-Pop Party can be booked for 60 or 90 minutes. You choose the length when you book.

Question 3

Do you take a deposit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send your booking request through the form on our booking page. Once we confirm we are free on your date, we email you a link to pay the deposit by card, and that secures your booking.

Question 4

What is included in each package?

Accepted Answer

Each package lists what is included and the available party lengths. Some packages focus on face painting and balloons, while others include a full mix like magic, games, bubble disco, karaoke and more. If you tell us the age group and what your child enjoys, we will guide you to the best option.

Question 5

Do I need to choose a character?

Accepted Answer

Character selection is only needed for selected packages. If a character is required, the booking form will prompt you to choose one. For other packages, you can simply book without selecting a character.

Question 6

Which areas do you cover?

Accepted Answer

We cover Dublin and surrounding areas including Meath, Kildare, Wicklow and Westmeath. Parties within Dublin have no travel charge. Parties outside Dublin have a small travel charge, which we confirm when we reply to your enquiry (it depends on distance).

Question 7

How do you decide if a location is outside Dublin?

Accepted Answer

The booking form treats a party as outside Dublin if the address does not mention Dublin, the eircode does not start with D, and the town is not one of our recognised Dublin areas. When that happens, the form notes that a small travel charge applies, which we confirm when we reply (it depends on distance). No amount is added to the total shown. If you are within Dublin but it was not detected, just include the word Dublin in your address. If you are unsure, submit the booking form and we will confirm with you.

Question 8

How much space do you need?

Accepted Answer

A cleared space in a living room or hall is usually perfect. We also need a small table and chair for face painting, plus access to a plug socket for music and equipment.

Question 9

When should we serve party food?

Accepted Answer

Most parties run best if food happens before we arrive or after the entertainment finishes. If you need to do food during the booking, the easiest time is at the very start or right at the end.

Question 10

How long does face painting take?

Accepted Answer

Face painting is one to one, so timing depends on the number of children and how detailed the designs are. If you have a big group, simpler designs help keep the queue moving smoothly.

Question 11

Do parents need to stay in the room?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An adult should be in the home or venue area at all times. We keep the party flowing, but parents remain responsible for supervision and behaviour.

Question 12

What if a child is disruptive?

Accepted Answer

We keep things positive and engaging, but if a child is repeatedly disruptive, a parent needs to step in. It keeps the party enjoyable for everyone.

Question 13

Can we have a bouncy castle as well?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For the best experience, it helps to pause the bouncy castle during structured parts like magic and organised games so the group stays engaged.

Question 14

How does booking work?

Accepted Answer

Submit the booking form with the package, date, time and location. We will come back to you with availability and confirm the details. The booking form helps make sure we have everything we need to quote and plan properly.

Question 15

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Funland Kids Entertainment is fully insured for party entertainment services.

Question 16

What are your booking terms?

Accepted Answer

When you submit a booking enquiry, we will confirm availability, the package, timing, location and any small travel charge if applicable before the booking is finalised. Party timings are based on the agreed start time, so it helps to have the space ready in advance.

Question 17

What if we need to reschedule?

Accepted Answer

If you need to move your party date, please let us know as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.

Question 18

Do parents or guardians need to supervise during the party?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A parent or responsible adult must remain present and responsible for supervision and behaviour throughout the party.

Question 19

What do you need on the day?

Accepted Answer

For most home parties, we need a clear and safe space to entertain, a small table and chair for face painting where relevant, and access to a standard plug socket for music and equipment.

Question 20

Can parties take place outdoors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, provided the setup area is safe, level and suitable for children's activities, with access to power where needed. A suitable indoor or covered backup option is recommended in case of poor weather.
